Engineering has been a constant throughout my life.
Growing up immersed in the automotive and motorsport industry sparked a passion for understanding how machines work, how they can be improved, and how thoughtful engineering can solve complex problems.
While completing my Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering (Honours), I gained valuable experience within the aerospace industry, where precision, quality, and disciplined engineering practices are essential. Simultaneously, I spent two years working in heavy manufacturing, designing specialised machinery and supporting automation projects in demanding production environments.
Following graduation, I continued building my career in heavy manufacturing for a further four years, designing custom machinery, specialised tooling, and automation systems that improved production efficiency while reducing manual handling and repetitive tasks.
Those years working alongside production teams shaped the engineer I am today.
I experienced first-hand the pressures manufacturers face being tight production schedules, labour shortages, equipment reliability, safety requirements, and the constant need to improve efficiency without disrupting operations.
That experience continues to influence every engineering decision I make.
I founded Macri Engineering to combine practical manufacturing knowledge with high-quality mechanical engineering, providing businesses with an engineering partner who understands not only how to design machinery, but how it will be manufactured, installed, operated, and maintained.
Today, I work directly with every client from concept through to commissioning, ensuring each project receives the attention, communication, and technical leadership it deserves.
